SUMMARY

INTRODUCTION

Your goal in Soulmates is to guide two cursed lovers through a haunted world filled with contraptions. You have to control the light and outsmart the monsters of the dark to reunite the soulmates.

REFLECTIONS

This was the second game developed at The Game Assembly. This time it was supposed to be a puzzle game for mobile phones which created new exciting challenges such as designing the game with phones in mind and taking into account the average player of phone games which are usually more casual players.

My role was level and game design, creating 5 of the 15 levels in the game and being a part in designing many of the game mechanics in the game. It was a very fun experience creating and releasing a game for phones. It was especially motivating to also win a competition arranged by TGA and Google for these puzzle games made at TGA.  If I could return to this project I would push for more real time lights as I do think modern phones could take it and the game would look a lot better.
