INTRODUCTION
Necro Blade is a action roguelike auto-shooter inspired by Vampire Survivors. Enter the world of darkness and save the town from damnation, as their only salvation! Will you save your village, or get consumed by death's grasp?
REFLECTIONS
This game jam was my first game jam and it was a very fun and fast-paced experience. It was a highly iterative process and because of the time constraint of 48 hours a lot of game mechanics and other features had to be just good enough so our precious development time could be used on other parts of the game as well.
I learned a lot about AI and wave-based combat design both from a design and technical perspective. Since this game jam I have learned a lot of new things regarding AI design. Things such as using behavior trees for the AI behavior and states instead of doing all the logic in the AI character blueprint.
